I've created this page in memory of a loved one.
For my Charity of the Month, I have chosen the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, a cause that is very close to my heart. In December 2024, I lost my dad to Glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive and devastating forms of brain cancer.
He was diagnosed in early March and was given a life expectancy of one to two years. Despite undergoing surgery to remove the tumour and facing his diagnosis with incredible strength and determination, he sadly passed away later that December.
Being there to support him throughout his journey was incredibly difficult, especially seeing him suffer through the challenges that came with his illness. While it was one of the hardest experiences of my life, it also made me stronger as a person and gave me a greater appreciation for the importance of support, compassion, and hope during such difficult times.
Experiencing the impact of this disease firsthand showed me just how important ongoing research, treatment advancements, and support services are for patients and their families. By supporting the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, I hope to help raise awareness, contribute towards finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure, while also supporting others who are facing similar challenges to those that my family and I experienced.
I have chosen to honour my dad’s memory by raising funds for this incredible organisation. The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation’s mission is to increase brain cancer survival and improve quality of life for those affected by this disease. I want to help create a future where no family has to experience the heartbreak of losing a loved one to brain cancer.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to support vital brain cancer research and services for patients and their families. You can also help by sharing this page with your friends and family to spread awareness about the urgent need for greater funding and research in this area.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. It truly means a lot to me and my family, and it is a meaningful way to honour my dad’s memory while helping others facing this devastating disease.
