In Memory of Jessica Gilbert

I've created this page in memory of a loved one.

We lost a beautiful angel on the 19th of August 2021. Jess, you have raised over $21,000 in the years since to help others who are facing the same uncertain future that you faced. The courage and hope that you lived by is a testament to the amazing person that you are. ‘Amazing’ was your highest compliment, the people you called ‘amazing’ were truly blessed. Seeing your beautiful face on your page always catches but knowing that you continue to help raise much-needed funds that give others a chance helps us somehow.

We discovered recently that in the midst of the fight of your life you still managed to raise funds for Breast Cancer, you are amazing! The walk every November at Albert Park Lake has become our annual pilgrimage. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to your amazing friends and your extended family, who join us each year despite the weather. One of your famous hugs was a priceless gift always, and we know you are smiling and sending us love and hugs every day, you never held back, why would you now?

Brain Cancer kills more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet receives only 5% of government funding. For our family, and others who have been affected by Brain Cancer, raising funds for the dedicated researchers working tirelessly to find a cure, will bring meaning to a precious life lost, and will help to ease our grief. Jess always wanted to help others who were fighting the same battle that she was.
